‘WHY’ is a new compilation series by House of Youth.

This year HY is trying something new. Why? Because change matters. As we grow into a more organized record company, our love for dance records is evolving! From this comes WHY: a new compilation series for tracks that don’t fit an album or long form project, but paint a bigger picture of our sound and roster. A home for reworks, loopy beats, and deep grooves; as well as a launchpad for new electronic artists.

Volume 1 includes tracks from label staples BAILE, Nuage and Sterling Grove, as well as newcomer Neokoi. The mood of the compilation reflects the spectrum of sound that the label has come to represent over the years – from laidback breakbeats to hypnotic techno to festival bangers. This compilation series marks a new way for the label to interact with the music scene and fellow DJs and producers: curating a selection of songs that share an overall mood over multiple genres.
