Founded in Montreal in 2016, House of Youth is a creative ecosystem exploring sound, image, and experience through a minimal yet forward-looking lens. Functioning as a cultural network rather than a single platform, H.Y. brings together artists, designers, and thinkers working across music, space, and visual culture. Guided by a less-is-more philosophy, the project supports long-form, intentional work that blurs the boundaries between disciplines. Together, its divisions form the House of Youth ecosystem — a connected network of artists, thinkers, and projects linked by a shared language of , community, and experimentation, where each outlet feeds back into the same orbit.
HY RECORDS
H.Y. Records is the core label within the House of Youth ecosystem, operating as an independent imprint based in Montreal. The label releases electronic and experimental music, with an emphasis on clarity, form, and context. Each release is treated as a complete body of work, where sound and visual language are developed together and presented with care. Rather than chasing trends, H.Y. Records focuses on projects that stand on their own and contribute to the wider cultural orbit of House of Youth.
Agency
Agency is the creative direction and production arm of House of Youth. The agency works closely with a small number of collaborators and brands across music, fashion, and culture, offering creative direction, visual identity, sound design, and project production. Rooted in the aesthetic and working methods of the label, H.Y. Agency approaches each project through research, concept development, and careful execution. The focus is on building cohesive creative systems rather than one-off assets, ensuring that every collaboration carries a clear visual and sonic language.
CAFE FAME
FAME is the physical heart of the House of Youth ecosystem. Located in Montreal’s Mile End, it operates as both a café and a cultural space. Part espresso bar, part venue, FAME brings everyday rituals into dialogue with experimental work, creating a space for people, ideas, and community to intersect. The space regularly hosts H.Y. Radio sessions, intimate performances, and rotating installations connected to the label’s ongoing projects.
HEAVY
HEAVY is a sub-label of House of Youth dedicated to weight, motion, and physical sound. Operating in the darker and faster ranges of techno, it focuses on music designed for pressure, repetition, and movement. Each release explores the tension between minimal structure and dense form, where sound functions as force rather than ornament. HEAVY prioritizes direct, immersive experiences — stripped back, tactile, and built for the floor.
