Desert Moth

Desert Moth

With their first collaboration, ‘Rain’, reaching over 600,000 streams in just under a year, Armenian-based electronic producer Nuage and Canadian indie-electronic duo Carbon Mass team up for round two: Desert Moth.

‘Desert Moth’ started with a guitar riff. Carbon Mass wanted to write something hypnotically simple and repetitive with an “empty desert mood”. 70’s spaghetti western meets chill-out electronica as reverberated slide guitar is juxtaposed against warm pads and knocking percussion. Looping vocal chops slip in and out of focus like a mirage in the distance. “Don't know why feeling numb feels more life-like”, vocalist Tim Claridge croons, as the hypnotic repetition of the track lulls you into a trance.
