In 'Preludes', the lead single and title track of the album, somber pianos underscore Norton’s hushed vocals as skittering percussion melds with pitched voices and sampled guitar riffs. 

“‘Preludes’ tries to capture the daily sense of inauthenticity and general lack of self confidence we can all feel,” Norton explains. “The idea that your life and actions are just an introduction to something bigger/more important/the main event, and that you are just the filler while people get in their seats.”
